We've got a new ballpark, a solid Twins roster (even without Joe Nathan!) and high hopes for another playoff run. We've also got plenty of bloggers chronicling everything from the team's minor-league depth to Joe Mauer's acting ability.
There's no better time to take stock of Minnesota's baseball blogs. Here they are, ranked by the Newsbobber Score popularity index.
From Aaron Gleeman to Granny Baseball, this is a lively group of writers who feed our hunger for Twins news, analysis and rumors. These bloggers don't agree on the value of Nick Punto or the importance of "team chemistry," but they share a passion for baseball that shines through in just about every post.

Top 10 Minnesota Baseball Blogs
If Aaron Gleeman were older, he'd be the grandpappy of Twins bloggers. He's been at it since 2002 ... and his namesake blog has logged more than six million visits. Gleeman's got a sharp baseball mind, one that puts more stock in how a guy hits and fields than how well he "hustles" or gets along in the clubhouse. Don't talk to Gleeman about how many wins a pitcher racked up. He'll want to know about his ERA and his strikeout-to-walk ratio. But go ahead and ask him about his Official Fantasy Girl. He'll hook you up with some hot pix.
2. Twinkie Town
Twinkie Town is an online community of Minnesota Twins fans. Regular bloggers write posts for the main page, but community members also contribute to the site, submitting both longer-form “Fanposts” and shorter “Fanshots,” which can take the form of links, pictures, quotes, videos, lists or chats. Twinkie Town also includes the Twins’ schedule, roster and stats and is a part of SB nation, a network of fan-based online sports communities.
You want charts on OPS and AWHG? Look elsewhere. These babes take a lighter cut at big league ball. Believe it or not, they write their annual team previews in haiku. Suzanne Solheim, a St. Cloud college student, is half the Babes duo. She also writes as Sooze on a Star Tribune blog.
Strib staffer La Velle E. Neal III, who has been covering the Minnesota Twins for over a decade, keeps fans posted on Twins news year-round. Whether he’s analyzing Twins’ prospects or recapping a game, Neal consistently offers insightful tidbits. As a beat writer, he's built up good sources and his posts often generate a lot of discussion.
Seth Stohs is a hard-core Twins fan who has built an impressive empire at SethSpeaks.net. He writes frequently and does plenty of original reporting, including interviews with Twins players and prospects. He also posts regular podcasts and writes an annual almanac on Twins prospects. Seth joined other Twins "super-bloggers" on the Star Tribune's TwinsCentric blog.
7. A Fan's View
Former Star Tribune writer Howard Sinker now writes about the Twins from a fan’s perspective. He was a fixture in Section 220 at the Dome and now can't wait for his seat in Section 219 at Target Field. With the keen eye and way with words of a journalist and the enduring optimism of a true fan, Sinker can be counted on for consistently interesting Twins coverage.
Nick Nelson writes about the Twins with clarity and maturity. That's an notable feat, considering he's barely out of college and he follows a team often drives its fans mad. Joe Nathan blows a save in the playoffs? Don't worry. Nick will talk us down off the ledge. Nick's level head and solid baseball insights have led to gigs with Rotoworld, Baseball Digest and the Star Tribune's TwinsCentric blog.
9. Twins Geek
John Bonnes lives up to the title. He's been pouring his obsession with the Twins into his blog since 2002. His passion and baseball smarts have recently landed him appearances on local sports radio and a contributor slot on the Star Tribune's TwinsCentric blog. Bonnes also is the force behind MNGameDay.com and is a contributor to the 2010 Twins Annual.
